Just a quick note to let you all know about a superb upcoming event:
Falkirk Storytelling Festival 2018 (4th – 7th October) at various venues around Falkirk.
I’m going to be involved in the festival across the weekend, kicking off with an event I’m hosting on behalf of my writing group. The Rooftop Writers Showcase takes place on Thursday 4th October, and will begin with a writing workshop session, followed by the Rooftop Writers reading some poetry and prose from their anthology.
The next event I’m involved in is Raging Goddesses on Saturday 6th October: a stellar female-only line-up featuring some of the most outspoken voices in the Falkirk spoken word scene.
Directly prior to the Raging Goddesses event, there will be a pop-up book stall hosted by the Emerald Bookshelf, where copies of my poetry booklet, The Goddess Collection will be available to buy, alongside other independently published authors and poets from the festival.
Finally, I’ll be along at Janet Crawford’s Literary Lounge on Sunday 7th October to enjoy a chilled out afternoon of poetry, wine and song.
Last year’s festival was awesome, and I think this year’s is going to be even better. Here’s a short clip from last year to get you in the mood.
And, if all that wasn’t enough, the festival will also feature Christopher Brookmyre, Alan Bissett, Kids events, music and more.
Visit the Falkirk Storytelling website for full information, events listings and tickets.

Thanks so much to all the wonderful performers at my “Give It Your Best Shot” event as part of the Falkirk Storytelling Festival. It was an honour to showcase some of the best new writing talent around, and I thoroughly enjoyed hosting such a fabulous event. Congrats to Dave Watson for winning first prize! #fstf17
